WHO WE ARE

The Connecticut Paranormal Incident Response Team (C-PIRT) is a fan-powered, community-oriented franchise dedicated to celebrating the supernatural with creativity, craftsmanship, and a whole lot of Ghostbusters-inspired fun. Blending the discipline of incident-response principles with the imagination of paranormal storytelling, we create engaging, safe, and immersive experiences for fans and communities across the Nutmeg State.

We’re not here to fight “real” ghosts, just to bring people together, inspire curiosity, and keep Connecticut smiling when things get a little strange.

OUR MISSION

At C-PIRT, our mission is to bring professionalism, heart, and a sense of playfulness to the world of paranormal response. We investigate fictional disturbances responsibly, support community events, and promote awareness of the unknown through creativity and engagement. Our goal is to take the spirit of Ghostbusters, mix in real-world incident-response discipline, and shape it into something uniquely Connecticut: part outreach, part fandom, part storytelling.

Whether we’re responding to a mock anomaly, rolling out EFT-1 (our Ecto Field Truck), or sharing our love of the paranormal at local events, C-PIRT strives to make the community safer, kinder, and a little more fun.

OUR STORY

C-PIRT was founded out of a lifelong love for all things Ghostbusters. That journey started in 1984 when our founder saw the original film for the first time, an experience that ignited decades of fandom, nostalgia, and creativity. What began as childhood fascination grew into a passion for cosplay, prop building, and crafting gear that captures the look, feel, and excitement of the Ghostbusters universe.

Uniforms became detailed. Props became more complex. And before long, what started as a hobby evolved into a fully realized paranormal incident response team complete with a custom patch, themed equipment, and a dedicated vehicle. C-PIRT represents the culmination of years spent bringing this world to life through craftsmanship, community involvement, and a commitment to sharing the joy that sparked it all.

This project is more than a tribute to a beloved film, it’s a way to connect with others, uplift the community, and spark imagination for fans of all ages.
