OUR STANDING OPERATING PRINCIPLES
At C-PIRT, every response, whether it’s a mild disturbance or a full-blown spectral meltdown, follows a clear set of operational guidelines. These principles keep our team disciplined, our operations safe, and our community confident that even the strangest situations will be handled with professionalism and a sense of humor.
- Assess Before You Engage – No reckless proton discharge. Take a moment to evaluate the scene, understand the manifestation, and choose the safest, smartest approach before taking action.
- Containment Over Combat – Our priority is to resolve incidents with minimal disruption. Whenever possible, secure the entity rather than escalate the situation—less chaos, fewer scorch marks.
- Classify Every Entity – If it moves through walls, it deserves paperwork. Proper classification helps us understand behavior, risk level, and the best containment strategy.
- Verify Twice, Trap Once – Double-check your readings, validate the threat type, and confirm your plan before deploying any gear. Prevent unnecessary surprises.
- Public Safety First – Civilians, pets, and property always take top priority. Our job is to restore order, not create more problems than the ghost did.
- Report All Anomalies – Nothing is too small, too weird, or too fleeting to log. Data builds patterns, patterns build knowledge, and knowledge keeps Connecticut safe.
- Never Cross the Streams…Unless Absolutely Required – A last-resort tactic only. If the situation warrants it, follow protocol, communicate clearly, and hope the universe cooperates.
- Coordinate With Local Authorities – We work alongside first responders, not around them. Clear communication with Connecticut’s emergency services ensures safety, cooperation, and smooth operations for everyone.
Each rule reflects our commitment to careful assessment, responsible containment, and cooperation with the people and partners who keep Connecticut running smoothly.
